Founded in 1979, College of the Redwoods Faculty Organization (CRFO) is an independent union representing all faculty at College of the Redwoods: instructional faculty, counselors, librarians, and nurses. Part of the California Community College system, we are located on California’s North Coast, about 5 hours North of San Francisco.

The CRFO serves as the exclusive bargaining agent under the Educational Employment Relations Act of 1975 (the Rodda Act). It negotiates faculty wages and working conditions, addresses the impacts of workplace changes, and represents faculty
in grievances.

The CRFO is deeply committed to fair representation for all faculty. It is dedicated to protecting collective interests and fostering a fair, safe workplace. As an independent union, we build on the faculty trust to safeguard faculty rights and to uphold the contract.
